Edit with references

Keep one image's composition and borrow a detail from another.

Two attached images, two clear jobs: keep Image1's composition and use Image2's cup colour.

Choose the source and reference

Add the image you want to change first. Then use Ref → Select from assets… or Upload file… to add another image for colour, lighting or another detail.

Image1 · the image to edit
Image2 · the colour reference
Select the extra reference, then choose Select Assets.

Give each image a job

Type @ and choose the attached image to insert its chip. Tell the model what to take from each reference—and what not to copy.

Keep the cup, spoon, stone plinth, lighting and composition from @Image1. Change only the cup glaze to match the rich terracotta orange in @Image2. Do not copy its coastal background. Preserve the original cup shape and all other details. No text.

This run uses Nano Banana 2, 16:9 and Count 1. Two references are inputs; they do not mean two outputs. Check the estimate, then press the arrow.

Review the edit

The completed edit keeps the studio composition and borrows the terracotta glaze.
