# Reuse a setup Bring back a result's prompt and settings, then change only what you need. Source: https://www.creativly.ai/docs/sessions/reuse-input ## Start from a result you like Choose **Reuse Input** beneath a result—the circular-arrow icon—or beside its prompt in the session history. ![Completed Nano Banana 2 cup image with its actual action row: Reuse Input, Edit, Variations, Add as Reference, Download, and Share.](https://pub-60e30bed45514f03933d3900731bea31.r2.dev/public-app-sessions/v1/documentation/sessions-reuse-action-0da5519dc6c30839.webp) Reuse Input is the circular arrow at the left of the action row. The link icon on the right is Add as Reference. The Prompt Bar restores that generation's **prompt, model, settings, and input references**. It does not generate anything until you press **Generate**. ## Review what came back ![Restored image Prompt Bar with the original Aurora coastal-product prompt, Nano Banana 2, 16:9, Count 4, and a four-credit estimate.](https://pub-60e30bed45514f03933d3900731bea31.r2.dev/public-app-sessions/v1/documentation/sessions-reuse-restored-c3fbfda395647c8d.webp) The original batch setup restored: Nano Banana 2, 16:9, and Count 4. No new images have been generated. Edit the part you want to explore: a different setting, lighting, colour, or camera move. Check **Count** and the credit estimate before generating. Reusing one image from a four-image batch can restore **Count 4**. Change it to **1** if you only want one new result. ## Reuse Input or Add as Reference? | Choose | When you want to… | | ------------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Reuse Input** | Restore the recipe that produced the result, including its original inputs. | | **Add as Reference** | Attach the finished image or video to your current draft as an input. | | **Copy** beside a prompt | Copy just the prompt text. | For example, to make another interpretation of the same coastal brief, use **Reuse Input**. To keep this exact cup and change its glaze, use **Add as Reference** and describe the edit. [Use reference chips](https://www.creativly.ai/docs/sessions/references) Attach the result, mention it with @, and tell the model what to preserve.
