# First & last frames Choose the still a video starts from—and, where supported, where it ends. Source: https://www.creativly.ai/docs/sessions/frames ![Video Prompt Bar with a green Start image chip, a pink End image chip, and Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash selected.](https://pub-60e30bed45514f03933d3900731bea31.r2.dev/public-app-sessions/v1/documentation/frames-both-49d59d4cd338af47.webp) Start and End are two separate image inputs, not two extra video outputs. ### Choose your first frame Open **Video**, choose a compatible model, then click **Start**. Upload an image or choose one from your project's assets. ![Start frame control with Upload file and Select from assets options.](https://pub-60e30bed45514f03933d3900731bea31.r2.dev/public-app-sessions/v1/documentation/frames-start-picker-f42f5ebd427b612a.webp) ### Add an ending, if you need one Click **End** and choose the final still. Related images usually make a clearer starting point than two unrelated scenes. ### Describe the movement between them Keep the prompt about motion: what moves, how the camera moves, and what should stay consistent. ```text Move smoothly from the first frame to the last frame. Keep the cup and warm morning light consistent. One continuous shot, no cuts. ``` ## Change a frame's role Click a filled chip to change its role. **First Frame** sets the beginning; **Last Frame** sets the ending. With both filled, **Swap Start/End** reverses them. A **General Reference** guides appearance instead of defining an endpoint. Available frame and reference controls depend on the model.
