# Edit an image

Add one image and describe what to change. No masking needed.

One image, one instruction: keep the composition and change the cup's colour.

## Add the image

Choose **Ref → Upload file…** or **Select from assets…**. Already have an image in your session? Click **Add as Reference** beneath it.

The link icon beneath a result adds that image to your next prompt.

## Describe the change

Keep the image attached. Say what to change and what to preserve. This example uses **Nano Banana 2**, **16:9** and **Count 1**.

Keep the exact cup, silver spoon, camera angle, and coastal window from the reference. Change only the cup glaze from cobalt blue to a rich glossy terracotta orange. Preserve the original shape, steam, lighting, and background. No text.
```

Press the **arrow** to generate the edited image. You do not need to paint a mask for this workflow.
