# Flow Connect prompts, models, and media into a visual workflow. Source: https://www.creativly.ai/docs/flow/overview ![Full dark Flow workspace with a Text brief connected by a clearly spaced curve to a completed Nano Banana 2 product image.](https://pub-60e30bed45514f03933d3900731bea31.r2.dev/public-app-sessions/v1/documentation/flow-brief-workspace-e2f2584aa20fddb1.webp) Build a workflow you can read: a reusable brief connects to a completed image, with its model, instructions and quick actions in view. Open **Flow** from Home and create a flow or open an existing project. ## The canvas, at a glance * **Nodes** hold prompts, source media, and generated outputs. * **Connections** carry an output into another node's input. * **[Prompt Bar](https://www.creativly.ai/docs/flow/prompt-bar)** starts an image or video from a written idea or canvas reference. * **Actions** shows tools for the selected node. * **Chat** opens the Flow Agent. Use **Fit view** to bring the workflow into view. **Pan** moves around the canvas; **Select** lets you work with nodes. [Nodes & connections](https://www.creativly.ai/docs/flow/nodes-and-connections)What each node does, where inputs go, and which steps run. [Brief → product image](https://www.creativly.ai/docs/flow/brief-to-image)Make the two-node workflow shown above. [Explore with Sets](https://www.creativly.ai/docs/flow/sets)Keep the product consistent while comparing several treatments. [Groups & run order](https://www.creativly.ai/docs/flow/groups-and-runs)Organize related steps and preview a selected run. ## Start small, then connect the next step Make one image first. Select its node and choose **To Video** in **Actions**. Flow adds a connected video node with the image as its first frame. Choose the video model and describe the movement before running it. Need a voiceover too? [Turn a script into narration](https://www.creativly.ai/docs/flow/text-to-audio) with a separate Audio node. For a product layout, [remove an image's background](https://www.creativly.ai/docs/flow/remove-background) and keep a transparent cutout alongside the original. [Build the product-film example](https://www.creativly.ai/docs/flow/image-to-video) Follow the same image-to-video workflow, with the real source and finished clip. ## Run only the part you need The arrow beside **Run** shows the scope and estimate before you start. ![Flow run menu showing Run from here and Run till here, with node counts and credit estimates.](https://pub-60e30bed45514f03933d3900731bea31.r2.dev/public-app-sessions/v1/documentation/flow-run-menu-b2ca5d4de9ad9c49.webp) For this video node: 5 credits for the video alone, or 6 credits to regenerate the image and video together. **Run from here** includes the current node and its downstream runnable steps. **Run till here** includes the current node and the runnable steps leading into it. Estimates depend on the models and settings in your workflow. ## Ask Flow Agent for a proposal Open **Chat** on the canvas. Name the source and describe the change you want. A **Suggested Generation** is a proposal to review—not an output that has already been made. ![Flow Agent Suggested Generation with a source-video reference, a blue-hour edit prompt, Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash, landscape 16:9, one output, five seconds, and Dismiss or Generate Video controls.](https://pub-60e30bed45514f03933d3900731bea31.r2.dev/public-app-sessions/v1/documentation/flow-agent-proposal-38958f1b41a67f9e.webp) A real video-edit proposal before approval: source video, prompt, model, ratio, output count and length. Check the prompt and every setting before choosing the generation action. **Dismiss** closes the proposal without generating it. Video-edit approval selected a different model and failed in our latest check. For this workflow, use the [manual video-edit steps](https://www.creativly.ai/docs/flow/edit-video) and check the model on the actual node. The proposal above is not a successful-generation example.
