# Edit a video's look

Use an existing clip as the source, then describe what to change and what to keep.

This edit used **Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash** in Agent. The source and result are separate five-second clips; the source was not overwritten.

### Choose the source

Select the video on the canvas. Check its name in the **Selected** chip above the message box. If the clip is on your device, use **+ → Upload file** instead.

### Describe the change

Say what should change and what should remain. Name the model if you have a preference.

> Now give the original five-second clip a warmer, golden-hour look. Keep the blue cup, the steam, and the gentle camera move, but make the sunlight outside feel like late afternoon. Use Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash for the video edit, and save it as a separate version.

### Review the finished clip

Wait for **Generated videos → Ready**. Use **Show on canvas** to focus the result, then play the whole clip—not just its thumbnail.

The completed result shows its actual media model beneath the video.

Check the subject, movement, timing, and audio before using the result. Generative editing can change details beyond the requested change.

## Use an image to guide the edit

Select the source video, then **Ctrl-click** (Windows/Linux) or **Cmd-click**
(Mac) the reference image. Check that both appear in the **Selected** chips.
Explain their different jobs: the video supplies the motion; the image guides
the look.

The result card is the live status. An earlier chat reply may still say
“processing” after the card changes to **Ready**. Play the output to check it.
